The Shaolin Temple of Los Angeles was founded in 2008
by the Venerable Shi Yan Fan, Cultural Ambassador commissioned by the Shaolin
Temple of China.
Our main focus is to preserve the ancient traditions and practices of the
Shaolin culture.
We offer Dharma Meditation, Qi Gong, Tai Chi, Tea
and Philosophy, Chan Buddhism, Shaolin Kung Fu, Weapons Training, Performance
Training, Traditional Forms, Internal Healing, and community outreach programs.

A Look inside your Training
We have a wide range of conditioning drills and traditional practices directly inherited from The Venerable Abbot Shi Yan Fan is a 34th Generation Ordained Shaolin Warrior Monk. He is historically the first Westerner ever to be ordained into the elite ranks of the distinguished Shaolin Temple of China. In 2010, the renowned Shaolin Temple of China was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
KUNG FU
Iron BodyCONDITIONING AND TRAINING

Advanced students of all ages have the option of training to become part of the Yan Fan Shaolin Performance team.

The practice of Qi Gong helps promote healthy blood flow and circulation as well as the development of one’s natural energy. When Natural energy within the body is properly cultivated, muscles, tendons, joints, and ligaments begin a self-healing process that keeps the body young limber, healthy and strong. Tai Chi is the advanced levels of Qi Gong Ba duan Jin breathing Shaolin Tai Chi -Yi Jin Jin Health & Strength. The Qi Gong training levels offered are beginner, intermediate, advanced, soft fist, and iron body.

- Sanctity (shauch) – Cleanliness in mind, body, and soul.
- Control of senses (indraiya-nigrah) – Meditation and life force control.
- Reason (dhi) – Guiding your life with calm reason leads to great success.
